Soggy Food Sucks: Best Packaging Technology Finalist
FoodBev Media has announced the best packaging technology finalists. Soggy Food Sucks is 1 of just 3 who made the short list for this World Food Innovation Award! Winner will be announced at the International Food and Drink Event in London, England on March 18th.
After the distinction of runner up at Venture Madness 2019 in Phoenix, we’re ready to take home the win in London! The competition is impressive, but we can’t wait to show off what makes our Crunch Patch the best new innovation in food technology. We change the game of restaurant delivery. Soggy Food Sucks transforms leftovers into bestovers.
One of the other finalists is O-I: Expressions. They provide next level consumer experiences via sculpted glass packaging. Companies can build their brand through three dimensional works of art.
Another finalist is Stix Fresh. They offer a sticker that naturally extends the life of fruit by up to 14 days. Apparently, extended freshness is what’s trending in food packaging technology this year!
We are excited that our plant-based peel and stick patch is in the running for a global award. It proves our product is truly at the forefront of what’s trending in food technology. Per FoodBev Media senior marketing executive Matt Ferris, “We’ve seen some key trends emerge as the industry continues to make inroads in sustainability, waste reduction, health and transparency…The World Food Innovation Awards really showcase some of the most ambitious new products and developments of the year…”
Soggy Food Sucks is an inexpensive patch with a straightforward, yet ambitious goal. We believe great tasting food should stay delicious longer. How does it work? There’s certainly science involved as is designed by a rocket scientist. Simply put, the Crunch Patch keeps food ruining condensation at bay so food can stay fresh longer.
